Linux Systems Administrator
Position Required Skills:
- Experience using the Linux CLI
- Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
- Experience in performing System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large-scale Linux cluster environment
- General technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage system components
- Experience with Red Hat Satellite systems management solution
- Familiarity using Splunk for ingesting, indexing, searching, monitoring, and analyzing big data
- Experience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution
- Experience configuring and sustaining VMware ESXi/Virtualization environments
- Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as SaltStack and Ansible
- Experience with corporate STE/STN security compliance policies and procedures
- Experience using system monitoring tools such as HPE One View and Nagios
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
- Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
- Experience with distributed files systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFS
- Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph
- Security+
- Fifteen (15) years' experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
