Position Overview
We’re seeking a visionary Solutions Architect who will serve as both a strategic and technical leader to lead the design, development, and implementation of cloud-native and data-centric solutions. The ideal candidate will guide program management and stakeholders with a strategic architectural vision, solve complex cloud challenges, and spearhead efforts to align technical infrastructure with mission goals.

Key Responsibilities

 Solution Design and Implementation
  • Craft comprehensive solution designs that balance business needs and technical constraints
  • Establish architectural frameworks and reusable design patterns
  • Select appropriate technologies and platforms for specific use cases
  • Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions to drive innovation
  • Oversee solution implementation to ensure fidelity to business objectives
Data Strategy and Infrastructure
  • Lead data warehouse architecture, development, and analysis across cloud platforms
  • Design and build large-scale data holdings including data lakes and warehouses
  • Develop and implement ETL pipelines based on client requirements
  • Build databases in the AWS cloud using relational and object-oriented models
  • Project long-range needs for database design and administration to meet enterprise architecture goals
  • Ensure integration of Identity Management solutions for secure data access
Technical Leadership
  • Lead design of critical features, integrations, and platform optimizations
  • Mentor development teams and provide expert technical guidance
  • Champion process improvements and engineering best practices
Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to gather and refine requirements
  • Align architectural vision with stakeholder goals and expectations
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly across diverse audiences
Business Acumen
  • Translating business strategies into technical solutions
  • Evaluate financial and operational impacts of architectural decisions
  • Advocate for mission alignment and scalable enterprise growth
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in solutions architecture or related roles (Bachelors degree can be substituted in lieu of 4 years of experience; Masters degree can be substituted in lieu of 6 years of experience) 
  • TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
  • Certified Cloud Practitioner, Certified Solutions Architect Associate, and Certified Developer Associate
  • Expertise in Agile, DevOps, and software development methodologies
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, including experience briefing senior executives (SES level and higher)
  • Deep understanding of DIA enterprise services: AAC, ESS, container service mesh
  • Experience with DIA’s CI/CD tools: AIDE/DPAAS, ACAS, STIG standards, RMF+, and ATO acquisition processes
  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure, data warehouses, and secure, complaint-enterprise systems
  • Operational knowledge of DIA’s microservice architecture and Object Based Production (e.g., Object Management Service)
  • Proven success managing Agile Release Trains and applying the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
