RAS is creating an enterprise Common Analytic Environment (CAE) solution for data scientists and analysts to perform data analytics.  Once launched RAS will be responsible for maintaining and to improving this environment by leveraging the latest cloud technologies. 
 
The Common Analytic Environment (CAE) is a data science environment to support aligned efforts throughout the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).  This will provide users with a modern self-service environment to perform data science tasks.  CAE will use containerized open source, Government Off the Shelf, and Commercial Off the Shelf tools.  The end state is an enhanced data-driven decisions and insights for next-level improvements, to enable execution of swift and appropriate action.

The ideal candidate possesses knowledge and experience beyond standard cloud-level technology awareness and implementation, seeking a candidate proficient in the end-to-end interplay of container services, OS, storage, enterprise integration, networks, and security to ensure maximum value and capability delivery to the end-user. 
 
 Basic Job Duties: 

  • Architects, designs and documents a best-fit cloud environment for data science and analytics.
  • Performs cloud virtualization system setup & engineering aligned with DIA cloud service offerings
  • Architects, configures and manages interfaces to other enterprise services, including coordinating with other groups to define interface parameters and requirements
  • Manages the system views. 
  • Establishes and maintains a CI/CD deployment pipeline
  • Supports security assessments and remediations in support of ATO activities
  • Solves cloud issues.
  • Supports Scrum Master task planning and estimation.

Qualifications: 
Required:
  • 20 years of experience or master’s degree +14 years, bachelor’s degree +16 years of experience with enterprise implementations, both cloud and on-prem
  • Experience analyzing end-to-end cloud requirements (including security), concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop cloud system specifications.
  • Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficient in:
    • Linux operating systems
    • Git
    • Containers and container management
    • Systems security and lockdowns (OS, cloud, network)
  • Experience with systems supporting data operations, especially considerations of data movement, data at rest, data tagging, processing, and associated costing for each
  • Experience providing expert guidance and direction to senior level cloud engineers and administrators.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in written form
  • Detail-oriented, thorough approach to problems
  • Security+ certification required 
Desired:
  • Experience with IC, especially DIA, cloud implementations
  • A working understanding of NGA Safehouse is a plus
  • AWS SageMaker/MLSpace desired
  • MarkLogic expertise desired

**TS/SCI with CI Poly is required for this position**

Salary range for this position: $180,000-230,000 #CJ
